How Will I Grow?

Alberto Lima
MAC 2016 | Fortaleza, Brazil

MTE was one of the most intensive experiences of my life. We studied so much in a short period of time. Undeniably, our intensive routine of theory and practice was extremely important and improved significantly my skills in the English language. MTE was a fantastic combination of a comprehensive English training program and a comprehensive theological introduction. Every week during my program, we heard lectures on systematic theology, biblical studies, church history, and practical theology. These lectures gave me the opportunity to interact and discuss theological themes in English during class, building gradually the fundamental skills I needed to succeed at Westminster Theological Seminary. I have encouraged friends everywhere to enroll in MTE. Undeniably, MTE will be tough because of the intensive routine. However, it will be helpful and useful for those who wish to thrive at Westminster. MTE was an unforgettable experience for me. Thank you, Westminster, for providing a wonderful opportunity like MTE.

Why Study at Westminster?

Benyamin F. Intan

President, International Reformed Evangelical Seminary

"Westminster Theological Seminary’s current biblical scholars and theologians provide us with the highest view of Scripture, along with Christocentric understandings of redemptive history"

In Whan Kim

President, Daeshin University and Seminary

"Westminster has been a distinctive champion in defending the faith and developing biblical principles and methods of hermeneutics in conformity with biblical teaching."

Thomas Schirrmacher

President, Martin Bucer Seminary

"Historically, Reformed seminaries in Europe—Geneva, Edinburgh, and Leiden—have been at the forefront of formulating and defending not only the doctrine of Scripture, but also proper hermeneutical and exegetical methods. In the New World, Westminster Theological Seminary has now taken the lead."

Philip Tachin

Lecturer, National Open University of Nigeria

"Current global trends have shown a blowing wind of cultural and social revolutions in all spheres of life affecting theological confessions, church life, family and social values. It is within this context that Westminster scholarship boldly and courageously stands out among all by its consistent Christocentric hermeneutical approach to the whole Scripture."

Julius J. Kim

Dean of Students and Professor of Practical Theology, Westminster Seminary California

"At a time when the trustworthiness and relevance of God’s Word continues to be minimized, I am thankful for the faithful ministry of Westminster Theological Seminary."

Mark Jones

Senior Minister, Faith Vancouver Presbyterian Church, Vancouver

"Westminster Theological Seminary has been heroic in their defense of the Scriptures as the inspired, infallible, inerrant word of God."

John Piper

Chancellor, Bethlehem College and Seminary

"This institution is an absolutely amazing reality. Thank you, Westminster, for your commitment to the Bible. Thank you for your Reformed theology—your solidity and symbolic presence."

Albert Mohler

President, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

"Westminster Theological Seminary is a deservedly famous school that has been a stalwart and a stand for biblical authority and for the faith once delivered to all the saints now for generations."

Peter Jensen

Retired Archbishop of Sydney

"The Westminster faculty has always dazzled me. Since 1929, Westminster has been one of the great works of God in the English-speaking world."

Wayne Grudem

Research Professor of Theology and Biblical Studies, Phoenix Seminary

"As a Westminster Theological Seminary student in the 1970s, I was so excited about what I was learning that I could hardly wait to get to my classes. A legacy of faithful commitment to Scripture has marked Westminster Theological Seminary since its founding."

Philip Graham Ryken

President, Wheaton College

"Studying biblical theology at Westminster Theological Seminary was a life-shaping experience for me. This has brought joy to my Christian experience and spiritual vitality to my ministry."

Timothy Keller

Pastor, Redeemer Presbyterian Church

"In both ways I think Westminster and their emphasis on biblical theology and the emphasis on philosophical apologetics stand out. Most schools do not go that deep."

Robert W. Yarbrough

Professor of New Testament, Covenant Theological Seminary

"As true heir of Old Princeton, Westminster Theological Seminary has borne the torch of Reformed theological inquiry and pedagogy like no other North American seminary."

Nancy Guthrie

Author and teacher

"A depth of riches. That’s what Westminster is as an institution."

John Frame

J. D. Trimble Chair of Systematic Theology, Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando

"Throughout the years, I have been moved again and again by Westminster's willingness to stand against the world and for the Word of God."
